Description: I’m excited to report that the Winooski Academic Center of the Community College of Vermont in the United States of America will host its Second Annual Empty Bowls dinner on Tuesday, November 8th from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm in the Sadie White room. Last year, in ceramic bowls created by CCV Ceramics I and II students with soup prepared by CCV Nutrition students we served more than 200 people and raised more than $700 for the Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf.
We’re hoping for a very big turn-out this year too! Proceeds from the event (at a suggested donation of $5/ceramic bowl hand made by CCV students J) will go to the Vermont Farm Disaster Relief Fund given the devastating effects of the tropical storm Irene on our local food producers.
