Lexington Elementary School students and staff will be holding an empty bowls event beginning February 15, 2010, with teachers making ceramic bowls during a Super Teacher inservice session.
These bowls will be part of an art installation at school March 29-April 2, 2010, to symbolize the hungry people’s empty bowls. Students will donate food to “fill the empty bowls”.
Lexington Interfaith Community Services will disperse the food to the hungry in the local area.
