Pennington,NJ Empty Bowls

Title: Pennington Empty Bowls
Location: Pennington, New Jersey
Description:
We have an annual Empty Bowl sale. This year we will sell bowls in our Silva Gallery of Art in the Campus Center of The Pennington School from December 1-18, 2009. We invite the community of Pennington to come and make bowls beginning October 1st through November 24th. Our proceeds have been and will continue to be donated to the Trenton Area Soup Kitchens (T.A.S.K.). Last year we donated over $2000.00 and over the last 8-9 years we donated over $10,000.00.

My students present this project to Pennington’s community through a chapel service where a student usually demonstrates making a bowl (throwing or hand building), while others speak about pottery and hunger.
