Description: The Upper School ceramics class @ the Kinkaid School is starting their first empty bowls movement this coming Monday, April 2 form 6 -8 pm at the school’s Culture Fest. (Falcon Empty Bowls)

All proceeds will be donated to the Houston Food Bank.

Ray Brown & myself, who are currently 10th grade students, have received approval to start this movement at our school and hope to make this an annual event.

Description: I am a high school Art teacher in North Vancouver, Canada. Our school raises funds and hunger awareness by holing events such as such as the 24 hour famine and Chili For Change. This is the first year we are hosting an Empty Bowls event. We have decided to donate all our proceeds to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank. Sally, their director will be speaking at our event as well as several students. The bowls have all been hand crafted, not wheel thrown, by 95 grade 9 students.

Description: On the 28th of April 2012 during the Festival of the Maples in Perth, Ontario Canada the local organization of Empty Bowls Perth, headed by Jackie Seaton will be holding their annual fundraiser whereby empty bowls will be filled with soup.
The local branch of the Scotiabank will also double any donations received for Empty Bowls Perth up until the day of the Maple Festival.
